From Bond to beyond, Sir Sean Connery’s obituary

Sir Sean Connery, best known for his role as the first James Bond on the big screen,

has died aged 90.

He appeared in seven of the spy thrillers and various other films in an acting career that spanned decades.

In 1988 he won an Oscar for his role as an Irish cop in The Untouchables.
