BBC Radio 4: Fire alarm forces presenters to exit studio during broadcast

Entertainment

This is the moment a fire alarm caused two BBC presenters to make a sharp exit during their radio show.

Nick Robinson and Martha Kearney had to abandon Radio 4’s Today studio in London’s New Broadcasting House after an alarm could be heard during the programme.

Robinson confirmed in a tweet staff were back in the studio within half an hour.

The disruption also affected output on the BBC’s World Service.
